LET YOUR INNER BEAUTY SHINE
Hi Everyone,
I love our newsletter theme this month: Let Your Inner Beauty Shine. I work primarily in the salon and beauty industry, where there’s always lots of focus on outer beauty. However, I’m also fortunate to know some powerful, influential individuals who make millions of dollars on beauty products and yet have an even greater focus on helping others discover inner beauty by building self-esteem, cultivating quality relationships, and following wise regimens for health and wellness.
Obviously, my ongoing message is about being nice, but I think we would all agree that a mean person is not physically attractive. Being nice is all about being happy, which is SO attractive.
You could be a nice person, but if you don’t let people see, know, and believe that you’re nice, their perception might be that you’re not. You have to learn how to “market” your niceness. In so many areas of life, most of us try to put our best foot forward. We market ourselves so people will want to get to know us better. A woman may be beautiful on the inside, but she’ll still put on makeup every day to make herself look more beautiful on the outside. Why? So people will look at her, want to get to know her, and eventually see her inner beauty.
I trust that the messages in this month’s newsletter will help you discover your inner beauty, which will be blessed by all the world.
Thanks for helping me live my fantasy of spreading this BE NICE message and giving nice people a voice.
XOXO, Winn
A BE NICE Story
Do you have a BE NICE story to share? Send it to editor@BeNiceOrElse.com. If it appears in the newsletter, you’ll receive a BE NICE T-shirt and CD!
Erika Jarvis was in the audience when I spoke at the beauty academy she attends. Apparently, the BE NICE message really got through!
Hi Winn,
I have to let you know how much it meant to me that you came and spoke with us yesterday. I woke up today with a different outlook on life. I have never felt so inspired.
I didn’t get a chance to speak with you one-on-one, but I feel that everything you talked to us about were things I needed to realize and come to terms with in my life. For instance, I haven’t spoken with my father in four years, and today I wrote him a letter because I agree with your motto: NO REGRETS!
I don’t want to babble here, but I just had to tell you how much your work means to me and how, by just one day with you, I think my life has taken a turn toward a brighter light. So thank you for everything, Winn!

Do Something!
This month’s DO SOMETHING! is an invitation to participate in Dr. Ilene Cummings’ Beauty Conversation Survey.
The purpose of the survey is to begin a national conversation on aging and beauty. The survey asks you to define what beauty means to you, particularly as it affects the aging process. For example: “Do you believe that true beauty is about inner beauty? Yes or No. If yes, what causes you to forget that?” Another example: “How did your parents age or how are they aging?” The 12-question survey is your invitation to focus on these subjects.
To participate in this important dialogue, go to www.thebeautyconversation.com/survey.html
